GUIDELINES

  001.   This blog is HIGHLY SELECTIVE , meaning that I only roleplay with mutuals. I tend to be a little picky in who I interact with, but trust me when I say I look through all the blogs either that follow me, or that I follow to see if there would be a possibility of us working together. If I see it, I’ll follow back.  002.   I am a SLOW RPER. I not only am a very busy person with this as my low-level hobby, but I’m also a stay-at-home-mom and a writer. This means I’m not going to reply to things immediately. That being said I’m also someone who moves where the inspiration leads me, so I might reply to something from some people and leave other stuff for later. That’s just how I work. I apologize in advance. Though don’t be afraid to send me things. I will always love it.  003.   I WORK OFF MOBILE FOR THE MOST PART due to time constraints. This means it might be harder for me to reply to things. I do try to keep up, but sometimes I just have to wait until I get some computer time under my belt. This also means that for the most part my aesthetic formatting is generally simple because Tumblr Mobile is hard.  004.   CONCERNING SHIPS I have a few rules.FIRST, if we ship and the ship turns toxic I WILL BREAK THE SHIP OFF FOR MY OWN MENTAL HEALTH AS WELL AS THAT OF MY CHARACTER. I understand some ships turn toxic, but I have been through it before and dear lords it’s better to end things.SECOND, generally speaking I enjoy writing m/f ships, and you will find very little if at all content of anything else. There are exceptions here and there that may occur if the dynamic is tasty enough, but if that offends you we may not be a good fit. To be clear, I am not homophobic, you can ship what you want, it's just not my preference.THIRD Concerning canon shipping, I am open to canon ships, and will treat each canon ship as written in stone unless in multishipping universes... however I will not be sacrificing characterization. I'm happy to accommodate anyones headcanons on the origins of the relationship, be it arranged marriage/ marriage of convenience, marriage strictly created for heirs, or to cover up sexuality, or whatever instead of the original take on elven marriage. In general I abide by the rules of LaCE, meaning elven bonds that are fëa deep, but if you do not wish to express this in the marriage and have it that they are not bonded for whatever reason I will happily play that out but with the understanding that they chose not to bind to each other. DO understand that with that comes the natural response from my muses in being involved in such marriages, including possible unhappiness or dissatisfaction. I will not sugarcoat it as it would not be true to their behaviors that would occur from that point. This may cause friction in the interactions, but I'm okay with that. However, if your character treats mine with respect, they will be given the same amount of respect from my muse.  005.   Crossovers and AUs are well loved by this blog, and if I don’t have a verse for your universe feel free to hit me up and we can come up with something together. I’m flexible.  006.   --
I DON’T DO EXCLUSIVITY unless it’s shipping. I only ship with one version of that character, though I'm open to other types of relationships.
  007.   If you unfollow me, don't softblock me, please block me because I'm dumb and will likely think I fucked up somehow and follow back. On that score I reserve the right to unfollow for my mental health.---
Now this last one may be controversial
--
  008.   I DO NOT DO POLITICS IN ANY FASHION. I am non-political, though I do believe in human rights. I despise drama, and if I see any kind of that stuff I will likely distance myself. This is not my personal blog, this blog is for writing and fandom takes, not to debate on a corrupt system that perpetuates its own demise through the use of the people it swore to protect. You bring politics to my blog, or try to engage me in political behavior, and I will block you.Additionally MISOGYNY IN ANY FORM IS NOT TOLERATED, and if your character is misogynist, such behavior toward my characters must be discussed in advance. There's enough misogyny in the RPC to go around and I'm sick of it. If you believe that female characters are less than your male characters and less deserving of plots they're happy in, we have nothing in common. If you believe in the BL & YAOI tropes that women are all awful monsters, or the only place for a woman in a plot is to ride off in the sunset, or be abused by men, or only used to have children and then abandoned with their children taken, I am not for you. There also will be no tolerance of racism, pedophilia, bi-erasure, or tropes used for fetishes that includes a/b/o, mpreg ( which is inherently transphobic as it erases the existence of transmen for the uplifting of cis men having babies, and nullifies the experience of transwomen who may wish to have babies but are incapable ), and the fetishization of men that borders on objectification.

PRINCESS OF NARGOTHROND

Finduilas Faelivrin,   was born in Nargothrond in the beginning of the first age. Daughter of Finrod and his lover Gaerlin, Finduilas was sheltered from the beginning of her life and knew little of the horrors outside of the protected realm. She fell in love with Gwindor, and with his father's permission became betrothed. Her first touch of darkness came when her father's oath was called upon by Beren, and the Sons of Fëanor usurped his position and placed her cousin Orodreth upon the throne. In an effort to keep her safe, Orodreth kept her close, and she retained her position as princess. It was not supposed to last, but Finrod never came home.War loomed, and soon pulled Gwindor from her arms and lost him to the pits of Angband. But Finduilas did not lose hope, and she believed he would return and spoke and acted as if he would return any day.And one day he did, but it was a sign of doom for Finduilas, for he brought with him a mortal whom he called Mormakil, or Turin Turambar, cursed by Morgoth himself. The curse, so strong in its power, caught Finduilas' heart in its grip and against her will she fell in unrequited love with Turin. Gwindor, heartbroken, but believing himself no longer worthy of Finduilas, released her from their betrothal with the singular concern that one day it would spell her ruin. Finduilas, for her part, knew the same, and yet could not remove Turin from her heart although she knew he did not love her in return. In time, Nargothrond was betrayed, and Finduilas was taken captive, dragged past Turins very eyes as he stood enchanted by the dragon Glaurung. She called his name to no avail, and fell into the torment of the long trek as a prisoner of orcs, and a prized one at that. A princess of Nargothrond was a jewel in the cap of Morgoth, daughter of Finarfin. The story says that Finduilas died, pinned to a tree by an orcish spear, but few knew that Finduilas had in fact made her escape. Another died in her place, and was found again by mortals and buried by her name. But the true Finduilas made her way to Gondolin where she was taken in by her cousin, High King Turgon, befriending her cousin Idril and the lords. There she stayed until its fall where she helped lead the survivors to Sirion. After its destruction, she went on to Balar, deciding to live in the Havens with Cirdan, where she stayed until the War of Wrath and the end of the age.

  VERSE        Second & Third Age.
Finduilas is found by Galadriel and as she is all thats left of her closest family, joins Galadriel and Celeborn on their journies. Cities frighten her now, their walls too confined and vulnerable, so while she will visit places like Eregion and Lindon, she does not wish to tarry in them.
When Galadriel settles in Lórien, Finduilas at last rests.

CHARACTERIZATION NOTES

- Regarding Turin and Gwindor, if there be any rpers who have them, I I am happy to interact but I do not believe that Finduilas truly loved Turin, Gwindor was her love and she hoped to marry him. I have very strong feelings on this, especially after she survives, her love for Turin diminishes completely and her heartbreak is for Gwindor. However, over time even that would diminish, as she grows to realize that Gwindor's love had clearly been lost to her due to Gwindors own trauma after Angband. These headcanons will be what I operate off of, and I do not wish to offend anyone.- Additionally you may have noticed I make my Finduilas the daughter of Finrod, this is due to some very original drafts in which Finrod had a daughter ( Galadriel originally, along with Gil Galad ). I cannot see Orodreth being her father if he is the son of Angrod, and even then he doesn't give father vibes very well. As a result I've made this adjustments.- Now I primarily will be shipping her internally, with my Lómion ( @lcmion ) simply because I like a good ending. They will have married after the fall of Eregion, during the thousand years before the Last Alliance.

MBTI    ESTP  HEIGHT    6'1  HAIR    írissë's hair is thick and curly ( 3a ), deep black with a nearly iridescent shine. It is rather long, reaching to her lower back, and she's quite proud of it. She takes good care of it, giving it plenty of time and attention so it always looks nice ( a mild vanity of hers ), and often there are scented oils which can be picked up on. Like her brother, she will weave ribbons and threads in her hair, but instead of gold they are of silver. There are two styles she's fond of with her hair: one is a thick braid which acts as a headband, typically used in formal events; the second is what she uses in hunting, silver hair sticks with various charms with which she puts her hair in a bun. When neither of these are used she leaves it loose, maybe pinned lightly to keep it out of her face, but that is all.  EYES    írissë has eyes of the clearest blue, inherited from her mother. In her first body her eyes were large and doe-like, easily expressing every excitement and enjoyment of life--- in her second they are more distrusting, too aware of the manipulations which every being is capable of. They are filled with mischief in both bodies, but the first which she posesses there is an innocence, and the second knows too much.  MARKS & SCARS
Reembodied she has on her left breast is a scar she bears into her new body from where Eöl's javelin struck her. Normally this would not occur but her unhealed fëa has made it visible upon her new skin.
Before death and after Eöl she is rather scarred, ( though I already expounded upon that in another post ) with torn ears, a notable brand on her right shoulder, and burns on her back and arms. She has scars on her neck and thighs from blades held to her skin to keep her still as well as bite marks here and there. She also has hair loss and grey streaks after leaving Eöl, which is hidden beneath enchantments.  PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION   She has a number of beauty marks flecked in various places. One on her collarbone, another on her neck, a few on her arms and legs. Her skin is slightly tanned, and clear of any marks. there is a bit of contradiction in írissë's frame. On one hand she is soft---a perfect hourglass---large breasted ( D cups ), wide hipped, with long legs and a rather large derrier. On the other hand her arms are leanly muscled from archery. Her thighs are strong from riding horses, as is her abdomen, though this is not as prominent as one might think. Her form is overall very feminine and strangely delicate for her activity level. After Lómion is born, her figure fills out more, and she becomes much softer those lean muscles turned more malleable by motherhood. She's not as strong, but she's very cuddly, and frankly enjoys it more. Reborn, it is the one thing she misses, her softness, though she retained most of her features. Her figure is similar, leaner perhaps, and there is muscle from fighting along with riding.  FACE CLAIM    Anna Popplewell / Bridget Regan  PARENTS

PRINCESS OF NARGOTHROND

Irisse was born in 1362 YT to Fingolfin and Anairë, of the Ñoldor.   A tall she-elf, whose love was that of hunting and riding, Irisse had a strength and wildness in her spirit; ever her heart yearned for greater things, and ever she held a fearlessness within her. When her father, Fingolfin, along with her brothers – Fingon, Turgon, and Argon – set across the icy Helcaraxë she followed, a voice of encouragement for the host of her father. Upon arriving in Beleriand, Irisse was called ‘Aredhel’ as was Sindarin insistence and ban of her native tongue of Quenya. From the coast and her fathers covering, she moved to Nevrast with her brother Turgon until his fortress of Gondolin was complete. And there she stayed… for two hundred years. It was the beginning of her end when she declared to Turgon that her desire was to step foot out of his kingdom in search of their cousins the Feanorians, her love of her freedom too great for his wishes that she would remain; fear for both his sister, and the risk of exposing his kingdom making him most unwilling to give in. Yet, Aredhel persisted, and begrudgingly Turgon relented, sending his sister with three companions for her journey.Reaching Doriath, they were denied entrance, the Noldorin not allowed within the realm of King Thingol, Yet, they continued in their journey, but across the region of Nan Dungortheb, they were separated, and after searching, the Lords of Gondolin returned to their king with the news that Aredhel had been lost. But she had not. Indeed, Aredhel had arrived in Himlad, the realm of Celegorm safely, and there she waited for his return… but in his absence, Aredhel soon grew bored, and wandering near the river Celon, she became lost in the forest of Nan Elmoth. It was here she would meet Eol, the Dark Elf who ruled that wood, who – noticing her beauty – set about enchantments so to ensnare her, keeping her from escaping his forest of her own will. Eventually, she happened upon his dwelling, and finding out she could not leave, she stayed.Though her heart did not belong to Eol, not long after, they married, and she had Maeglin – or Lomion as she called him, ‘Child of the Twilight’, who she loved above all. The relationship between the husband and wife, however, was a tumultuous one, their personalities clashing in a negative way causing much abuse from the Dark Elf toward his stubborn Noldorin wife. Despising his commands toward her forgetting her kind, Aredhel would often tell Lomion of her people, of the Noldor and of Gondolin, and how now her heart yearned to return, for she missed the light of the outside world, and the wide open plains. She was saddened, therefore, for the twilight of the forest smothered her, and the elf she had married was not one she loved. Before his majority, Aredhel decided that she would take her son to the Hidden City, and while Eol was away with the dwarves, they made their escape, returning to the realm of Turgon, who was more than pleased to see his thought-dead sister. But their happiness in the city was short lived, for Eol had followed them to the gates, and was brought before Turgon. There he was given a choice: to remain in the city, or to die.Refusing to submit himself to the Noldorin king, Eol threw a poisoned javelin at Lomion for disobeying him – but Aredhel stepped in front of it, saving her son while dooming herself, and she died that night while begging Turgon for mercy on Eol.Eol, by Turgon’s command, was thrown from the city walls and died, leaving Lomion an orphan; a situation, which later would play into his betrayal of Gondolin to Morgoth, and his death at the same wall of his father.

  VERSE        Second Age.
In the beginning of the Second Age – Aredhel landed on the shores of Lindon from Valinor, granted both a divorce, and new form by request that differed from her first. The light which had filled her eyes before she had been lost in Nan Elmoth had returned, and in time her strength of spirit, for the shadow in her heart was slowly ebbed, and only the shadow growing in the east could harm her now.
First she stayed in Lindon, but as her desire was to see the world she wandered, unaccompanied, through Middle Earth; often staying in places where she would not be expected, her curiosity spiriting her off from place to place. She moved between Eregion and Lindon, spending time with the last of her family. But more family came to her in the form of orphans who she built a cottage for at the foot of the Misty Mountains and established herself there.Sauron rose, and she played her part with those left of her kin as a warrior. Perhaps it was sheer determination that kept her alive well past when she should have fallen among the slain.
  VERSE       Third Age.
In the Third Age Aredhel marries Glorfindel and settles completely in Imladris, deciding that she should spend the rest of her days with what is left of her family. Perhaps it was always meant for her to come full circle, for where she left Gondolin and Turgon she has now settled in the realm of his great-grandson. Besides, Glorfindel is there, and reminds her of days before tragedy and loss. They are her family, and she is theirs.

  VERSE       Rings of Power.
Similar to the second age verse, Aredhel bounces between Eregion and Lindon. Fond of Celebrimbor, she tries to save him from the influence of Annatar, but ultimately fails.

  QUEEN OF FIRE       AU.
primarily for @quentafeanorians & @nolyafinwe but can be requested
In Valinor, a year before Finwë's death, Irissë was betrothed and wed to Nelyafinwë Feanorion, in an effort to quell family tensions. As his wife, Irissë accompanied the Fëanorian host to Beleriand, and when Fëanor died, she and Maedhros became High King & Queen of the Noldor. Then Maedhros was taken to Angband, and she was left to rule from Himring, doing her best as regent in his stead. When he was returned to her by her brother Fingon, Aredhel was crucial to his recovery, and after a time fell pregnant. On a visit to Himlad, she was taken by Eöl and forced to become his "wife" in a twisted form of a marriage. Her child was born in Nan Elmoth, and she named him Fëamírë, but Eöl was not kind to the boy, for he was his true father's son. Eöl then took her to his bed, against her will.Five years she spent his prisoner, drained in spirit and body, until at last Eöl used Fëamírë to force her agreement to bear him a son of his own. So she did, and on the day the child was born he tossed her son out of the forest and abandoned him to die. But by some mercy, Fëamírë survived and following his mother's instruction on how to find his father, eventually was found by Maedhros himself. Maedhros then burned Nan Elmoth, killed Eöl, and found Aredhel-- nearly faded, and with a newborn babe.It would take some time before the queen of the Noldor was healed again, and when the king claimed the dark haired boy no one dared to contest it. Lómion was Maedhros' son, and so was raised. In time, some century or two later, they had a daughter: NestamirëAnd for a time lived in a modicum of happiness. ...(more to be added)

CHARACTERIZATION NOTES

- Concerning Canon Ship of Aredhel/Eol: as far as I am concerned this ship is abusive and toxic, and I will thread it as such. I am, however, aware of many having different opinions, and will adjust to Eol RPers, but understand I will handle that on a case by case basis and for my thoughts on the subject please see here.- Also Aredhel is no longer open for shipping, and her "canon" ending is that of marrying my Glorfindel ( @glcrfindel ). She has three other ships with @quentafeanorians ( Maedhros ) in an AU primarily on discord, @sorrowfullament ( Maglor ) which I have had for 10+ years in an AU setting as well, and @eohmaere also in an AU but given the heavy plotting which Moon and I have done, he is Aredhels husband primarily. Apart from that there will be no more shipping overall, I will make exceptions in very rare cases. But it will be very rare from here on out.
